This is my contribution to Sealand Cake Show 2013. I´ve had the image below lying in my "next project" folder for ages, and if Sealand Cakeshow had not come, I would have most likely never gotten to create this piece. -Which was fortunate, because it won first prize gold! :)
Some of the other participants cakes were extremely beautiful and incredibly well-executed, the standard was much higher than I´d expected. I think my luck was, that the cakes were judged after english guidelines where every cake starts with gold, and then flaws as cracked icing, visible wire, thick petals and so forth subtract - because there where some really, really beautiful cakes there!
Well... This is some way to kick-start 2013...
